Career coaching for creatives

Find the right outlet. Plug in. Light up.

What you and I both know

A lukewarm or high-stress career holds you back from really living life. Of course, if you spend 40+ hours/week feeling tired or uninspired.

Money is important and it can only buy so much.

Meaningful work is key to a fulfilling life.

Creativity is a mind-body-spirit affair.

“My sessions with Kat helped me uncover stories that have limited my career success. She helped me see myself and my industry more clearly. I can’t recommend her enough.”

How it works

Step 1

Schedule your Coaching Interest Chat (30 min). In this call we will:

  • Get to know each other

  • Discuss what's up and what you want out of coaching

  • Sketch out how we could get you there

  • Clarify pricing, process, logistics for Clarity Session — and beyond

Step 2

If you decide to move forward with the Clarity Session (75 min), we'll schedule it. In this session you will:

  • Look at a significant block/issue

  • Experience how we work together

  • Walk away with real results and clear next steps

  • Consider whether you’d like to work together

Step 3

If we'd love to work together, great! We start six months of coaching:

  • Biweekly 1 hour sessions over Zoom or phone (12 sessions)

  • Unlimited text and email support between sessions

  • Two complementary sessions for whenever you need it ($1,000+ value)

Step 4

After the first six months, clients tend to:

  • Continue on a retainer of biweekly sessions and same level of support

  • Set a new rhythm – choose a package of sessions and book them as they like

  • Fly solo for a while, knowing they can book a session any time

“Kat coached me during a tumultuous period. I felt frustrated in my UX role and sought a career better reflecting my values. I recently graduated with my MPH from NYU… I wouldn’t have gotten here without her excellent coaching.”

A note

Why hiring a certified coach is important

Professional coaching is a large, diverse industry. Unlike therapists or psychologists, coaches are not legally required to become accredited or certified to use the title of coach. A lot of people who call themselves coaches are more precisely consultants, mentors, trainers, teachers, or advisors who can be highly skilled at their craft. In other cases, someone with no training in coaching theory, core competencies nor emergency situations can be actively providing services.

I highly recommend only considering certified (ACC, PCC, MCC) coaches for your journey. A good place to start is setting up an interest chat with 3+ certified coaches who get their clients extraordinary results and work with their own certified coach.

The main accrediting body in coaching is the International Coaching Federation (ICF). To become certified, coaches must undergo rigorous study, training, mentoring and examination. They also must participate in continued education to stay certified.
